MSE was responsible for the planning and design of a new regional wastewater treatment facility with average daily flow of 1.7 MG and peak flow of 3.4 MG, as well as major revisions of the sewage transportation system.  MSE also assisted with the completion of the 201 facilities plan.  This project is currently under construction.  When complete the new facilities will accept and treat wastewater from four counties, seven cities and the new Kentucky Speedway.  Included in the flows are the major industrial facilities along the Ohio River.  Revisions to the transportation system include reversal of flow in two major force mains, upgrade at 4 major pump stations including flood proofing capacity increases, flow matching by variable speed pumping and upsizing existing force mains by pipe bursting and/or directional drilling.
