KENTUCKY TRANSPARK, Inter-Modal Transportation Authority, Bowling Green, Kentucky – The Transpark, located in Warren County, Kentucky, is on the leading edge of newly developed intermodal parks.  MSE prepared the Master Plan for the park and designed the complete park infrastructure.  The Kentucky Transpark, when fully developed, will encompass 4,000 acres and contain a modern, state-of the art business park and intermodal facility served by CSX and will be the home of the new Bowling Green Airport.  The park’s design incorporates best management practices for storm drainage control and is designed to have an attractive “campus-like” setting in its sensitive environmental location 8 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park.  The park will be served by several miles of internal boulevards; a 1,000,000 gallon elevated water tank and 20” water main.  Phase I is served by a triplex pump station (2000 gpm), 20” sewer force main and 9,000 LF of 10”-18” gravity sewers. A new connector road to I-65 with a new interchange are also in the final design stage.  During design of the Transpark, MSE became instrumental in the location of Magna, a large Canadian automotive company. The Park is totally designed with landscaping, buffers, fountains, walk and bike trails, which are also currently under construction.
