U.S. Representative Hal Rogers, KY 5th district, announced the ARC has approved a grant totaling $429,312 for infrastructure to serve the North America Sticks facility locating in Corbin. The Paradise Park Regional Business located in Muhlenberg County has been certified as a “Build-Ready” site by the Commonwealth of Kentucky. “Build-Ready” means a site includes a pad 50,000 SF or greater, expandable to 100,000 SF or more, utilities extend to an edge of the site, and the necessary permits and studies are in place including water, building, Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, archaeological, historical and geo-technical. MSE is responsible for the Master Plan, Utility Design, Building Pad Design and Road Design for the park. MSE also provided assistance in obtaining certification for the park.
The South KY RECC is constructing a new headquarters in Somerset, KY. The facility is located at the former Sumerset Houseboats property. The new headquarters will contain a newly constructed 37,000 two-story office building. A portion of the current Sumerset Houseboats building will be converted into warehouse, storage, operations, maintenance and covered parking areas. MSE is responsible for the architecture and engineering service for this project. The project is slated for completion November 2016.
Euro Sticks Group is locating to the Southeast KY Regional Industrial Park in Corbin. MSE is responsible for the design of the building and the fit-up of the building. MSE is also responsible for utility and road design to serve the new manufacturing operations. Euro Sticks Group, a French family-owned company, manufactures ice-cream and coffee-stir sticks and will create 90 jobs.
Work is complete with the exception of seeding at Paradise Park in Muhlenberg County on construction of the “Build Ready” site in the Paradise Regional Business Park. The contractor hopes to finish this year, weather permitting. Completion of the site certification process will allow the Paradise Regional Industrial Authority to receive extra consideration for referrals from The Kentucky Economic Cabinet for business development prospects at the regional business park. Paradise Park and its build ready site were planned and designed by MSE of Kentucky, and Paradise Park was recently named one of the top ten industrial properties in the south by Southern Business and Development magazine.
EOS USA has opened a call center in a 20,000 SF building located at the Valley Oak Technology Complex, Somerset, KY. EOS provides accounts receivable management and business process outsourcing services. MSE was responsible for the architectural design of the building as well as the fit-up for EOS.
