
MSE of Kentucky has been selected by the SafeAuto Corporation to design their new customer service facility locating in Somerset, Kentucky. The 25,000-sq. ft. office building will be located at the Valley Oak Technology Park and will provide modern technology space for approximately 250 employees.

MSE is preparing designs for two new roads in Rowan County. Working for the Morehead-Rowan County Industrial Development Council, MSE is developing plans for the 2 mile Rowan County Airport Access Road which will also serve the Morehead-Rowan County Airpark in addition to the airport. MSE is also designing the 1 mile Eagle Trace Access Road which will connect the Eagle Trace Golf Course (owned by Morehead State University) with KY Highway 801. The projects are funding with 6-year plan road funds from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and a Federal line item grant from the FAA.

Construction of the Paradise Park Regional Industrial Park access road in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky is nearing completion. The one-mile road has been constructed using a cement stabilization specialty contract in order to develop a strong road bed in wet, weak soil conditions near the Regional Park. Final paving of the road is beginning now that warm temperatures have arrived

Construction has begun on the EDA/ARRA funded expansion of the Carrollton Area Regional Sewer System. One of the big features of this project is a 2,352’ long directional bore designed by MSE to pass under the Kentucky Utilities Ghent Power Station property without disturbing the Ohio River station or its underground electrical transmission facilities.

The MMRC Regional Industrial Authority in Morehead, Kentucky has just received additional grant funds for road construction at the Regional Park. MSE will assist the Regional Authority by developing plans for a road extension and for re-paving of the Park’s access roads which have, for about 10 years, been carrying heavy truck traffic for the Family Dollar Regional Distribution Center.

Construction of the Laurel County Water District #2’s water plant expansion and raw water line has begun. The project includes the planning and design, by MSE, of approximately 44,000 LF of 16-inch raw water transmission line, a new raw water intake on Laurel Lake and expansion of the water treatment plant to 2.9 MGD. An RD Loan/Grant and a KIA Coal Severance Line Item fund this project.
